We’re building a strong future and unshakeable hope for our New Albany faith community. The HOPE Capital Campaign is part of that vision.
From the first people to name the town to its present residents, HOPE has been at the core of New Albany, Ohio. Our faith community began as the New Albany Methodist Episcopal Church in 1838 and for 185 years, we have continued to grow HOPE one life and one construction project at a time.
New Albany UMC continues to cultivate HOPE among its people with the future in mind. The vision of the HOPE Capital Campaign is to improve our facilities and reshape our online community in hopes to lay a strong foundation for how New Albany UMC can serve the long-term good of the community.
We aim to be strategic in stewardship now so we can be positioned to serve faithfully for the future. By creating a LOAN REDUCTION, our goal is to reduce principal and save $55,000 annually in interest expense.
By RENOVATING our Centrum and Children's classrooms and restrooms, our aim is to create aesthetically welcoming and safety ADA compliant environments for the faith community at large.
Our best future lies in removing the separation between brick & mortar and digital engagement. Our reach is now beyond the 43054 ZIP Code. DEVELOPING A DIGITAL PRESENCE AND ONLINE COMMUNITY requires a digital engagement strategy to effectively engage our neighbors near and far, with a message of HOPE.
We are already experiencing HOPE for the future! Currently we have:
A family who increased their giving for the Ministry Budget for 2024 to cover the loan interest for all of 2024.
Another family who has offered to match $110,000 collected in the campaign. The application of these funds would be $100,000 to reduce the loan principal and $10,000 to build the endowment.
We are partnering with our growing community to be a solution for real life problems through ministries such as Off Market after-school program for middle school students.
We are meeting people where they are to help them become good neighbors, personally and spiritually.
A successful Hope Capital Campaign will position us to fully embrace our mission of Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation for those of the world who love God and their neighbors.
